SIMAERO has been approved by EASA to perform Type Rating for Boeing 777/787
11 FEB 2020, Paris, France.
In January 2020 the French DGAC has issued to SIMAERO an updated approval certificate for pilots training.
SIMAERO has faced numerous requests from various international clients to conduct these courses, benefitting from the long-standing aviation expertise in France, and the highly connected Paris Charles de Gaulle platform where SIMAERO France is located.
“The Boeing 777 and 787 are among the most successful airplanes in aviation history, effectively replacing four-engined long-haul aircrafts, usually less fuel efficient. Adding the Boeing 777/787 Type Rating product is thus an important milestone in our development plan. We expect that this type rating program, approved by EASA, will be accepted by other civil aviation authorities as well, further expanding our capabilities to serve our diverse client base” - explained Nicolas Mouté, CEO of SIMAERO.
The program starts with 2 weeks of computer-based training for aircraft systems, which can be done anywhere in the world via internet access. Then the students come to Paris for ground school training, organized in the facilities of SIMAERO located near by the Charles de Gaulle airport. Theoretical training in classroom takes 10 days and is followed by 8 Full Flight Simulator sessions.
SIMAERO operates 18 full flight simulators and a Training Organization for pilots, which is certified by EASA and other civil aviation authorities including South Africa, China, Russia, UAE to name a few. The group serves over 100 civil and military clients from more than 65 countries by providing a comprehensive range of training solutions for Airbus A320, A330, A340; Boeing 737, 757, 767; 777; 787; ATR 500, 600; ERJ 145; Beech 1900; Dash 8; MD80/82; Beech 1900, Fokker 100.
