Airbus Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) Courses

Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ) is an Airbus term referring to a shorter type rating transition course for pilots already qualified on one Airbus family aircraft model seeking to transition to a different variant within the same family.

CCQ Course Duration

Duration: 10 Days

Theoretical Training

  • 5 days of e-learning courses, self-paced and conducted remotely through our e-learning platform, Wisdom, available 24/7.
  • Half a day of on-site course with one of our instructors.

Practical Training

  • 3×4 hours Full-Flight Simulator sessions
  • 1×4 hours Skill test session

Where to Do CCQ Courses

Airbus Common Type Rating (CTR) Courses

This Common Type Rating (CTR) course allows pilots who are already qualified on Airbus 330 aircraft type to operate the Airbus 350 type, and vice versa, after completing a streamlined differences training, rather than undergoing a full initial type rating course. It is based on the high degree of cockpit and operational commonality between certain Airbus aircraft families.

Do Simaero courses cover accommodation and transportation?

Our course prices do not cover accommodation and transportation, except for some limited offers. Above this, Simaero secured preferential rates with partners to assist you. Please reach out to our local team for details about the deals available at each training center.

Do I need a training partner?

Our courses necessitate a complete flight crew. If you require a partner, Simaero can pair you with another pilot to share the cost of the training. Please note that when pairing two pilots, the training is contingent upon both pilots' payment, availability dates, and confirmation of visas.

Can Simaero assist me with my visa application?

Once the deposit for your training course is received, Simaero will provide an official visa invitation for your application and a checklist with documents to prepare for the country of training. You can schedule an appointment at an embassy or visa center. It is recommended to plan your appointment at least one month before departure, taking into consideration the varying processing times. If you encounter issues with the embassy or the visa center, please advise our team to contact the relevant office directly to ease the visa issuance.
