SIMAERO WELCOMES BLUEBIRD NORDIC FOR PILOTS TRAINING

The Icelandic airline choses SIMAERO to train its pilots on state-of-the-art B737 full flight simulator

Bluebird Nordic operates to more than 100 locations worldwide and ensure best service to major airlines, express companies and parcel services. The airline also offers cargo export and import services in Iceland. After a successful audit of SIMAERO Paris Training Centre facilities and equipment, Bluebird Nordic has confirmed its selection of SIMAERO as a provider of initial and recurrent B737 simulator training.

“Bluebird Nordic had to look for another simulator since the one we have been using has been sold. We had few simulator operators to choose from. After meeting SIMAERO staff and enjoying their high quality of service, we decided to make an agreement focusing on the use of their B737 CL simulator to train our pilots” summarized Tómas Dagur Helgason, Director Flight Operations, NP Flight Operations and Crew Training of Bluebird Nordic.

“At the time when Bluebird Nordic celebrates its 20th anniversary, we are excited to welcome its pilots in our Paris Training centre. SIMAERO provides services to over 100 civil and military clients from more than 65 countries, we are now pleased to welcome Bluebird Nordic in this outstanding list of satisfied customers worldwide. A combination of a modern infrastructure conveniently located close to Paris CDG airport and the possibility to choose from many hotel options in the vicinity of SIMAERO led Bluebird Nordic to find the best solution for successful trainings,” stated Ivan BAILLY, EVP of SIMAERO.

The collaboration between SIMAERO and Bluebird Nordic has already started and will be intensified in 2020.
