This Type-Rating Program is based on our EASA approved program and has been specifically adapted as per the DGCA India requirements to provide you with the knowledge and skills required by Indian airlines on A320 aircraft.

PROGRAM CONTENT

GROUND SCHOOL
WITH MCC/ JIT

92h - 14 days
  • 80 hours of Ground School
  • 12 hours of MCC/ JIT




All ground school courses are self-guided in a dedicated classroom within the Simaero Paris Training Center.

SIMULATOR
TRAINING

64h - 16 days
  • 5×4 hours Fixed-Based Simulator (FBS) sessions
  • 8×4 hours Full-Flight Simulator (FFS) sessions
  • 1×4 hours Full-Flight Simulator LOFT session 
  • 2×4 hours Skill test (day & night) 

All Full-Flight Simulator training sessions are conducted by a highly-experienced Simaero instructor, on a Full-Flight Simulator.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • DGCA, India Commercial Pilot License (CPL) valid during the tenure of the course
  • Instrument Rating single-engine (IR)
  • Minimum flying hours: 200 hours
  • Minimum 100 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
  • Valid class I medical
  • ELP (English Language Proficiency) Level 4.

DOCUMENTS TO PROVIDE:

To apply to this program, please provide digital copies of the following documents:

  • A digital copy of your Indian Commercial Pilot License that is endorsed with your English language proficiency.
  • A digital copy of your passport in JPEG format.
  • A digital copy of your Class 1 medical certificate.
  • A digital copy of the first and last pages of your logbook.
  • A digital copy of your Radio Telephony Restricted license (RTR).
  • A digital copy of your Flight Radio Telephony Operator’s License (FRTOL).

PAYMENT & VISA CONDITIONS:

Once you have submitted training request by email specifying the desired start time for training:

  • Simaero will propose an approximate planning, and upon your confirmation, will send the invoice, payable in two (2) times:
    • 20% of the total amount to confirm the booking
    • remaining 80% ten (10) days before the start of the training.
      Payments must be paid by electronic transfer to Simaero.
  • After the first payment, you will be asked for your required documents proving eligibility for the program.
  • Simaero will then issue an invitation letter to facilitate the visa process.
  • You can apply for a visa at the French embassy using this invitation letter.
